Surf Appreciation Party
We will be hosting an after-surf appreciation celebration for our donors and participants in all three locations with surfside food and drinks, live music and a big amount of raffl e items. A minimum sponsorship of $25 gets you in the door, a $50 donation (and every increment of $50 thereafter) gets you a raffl e ticket to win one of our exciting prizes. These prizes include Vacation Package, Surfboard, Surf Photography, Dinners, Yoga and Massage Certifi cates and much more (sorry but you must be present to participate in the raffl e). All signed up surfers that raised money are coming for free. If you are planning on coming to the appreciation party, please make your donation online and RSVP to surfout@colegiocostaverde.com, specifying the location, by June 3rd so we can have your name on the list at the door. If you absolutely can’t make that happen, we will also take cash at the door but we still need you to RSVP to let us know you are coming. This is a private, invite only event.
If you can’t make it that afternoon, we would still like to encourage you to support the Surfout team and make a donation online.
At Costa Verde International School, our mission is to incite learning throughout the community. As an elementary school with initial grades from preschool through 6th, our aim is to produce healthy, happy and well-adjusted life-long learners. Our target is that each child acquires fl uency in a second language and a profound understanding of the necessity for a “green” approach to living. To achieve this, CVIS is dedicated to a small student to teacher ratio and has focused education on the whole child in an environment designed to develop the talents and skills particular to each individual. School curriculum centers on ecology and respect for the environment. Students learn to analyze and solve problems, rather than simply memorizing facts. Our International School is just the beginning. Our goal is to provide all ages in our community with a location to find knowledge. Through our Sustainable Resource Center, our mission is to get the people of the community to fi nd the changes they feel are important and to make those changes. Through our Cultural Center, our ambition is to provide adult education classes, art showings, theatre, a public library, and other learning opportunities for the community. We want to expose our amalgam of families to art, culture, and knowledge from around the world and to inspire the entire town to become ecological.
