Costa Verde Cultural Center brings the world to Sayulita by providing opportunities to understand other cultures through art, dance, music and language.

The Cultural Center offers various classes, holds events, houses a library, and is an outlet for information about the Sayulita community and the world.

The Cultural Center offers a complete adult Language
School and also facilities archaeological field trips to various
sites throughout Mexico, connecting the community
and visiting tourists with Mexico’s rich local heritage. All
language classes consist of grammar lessons with much
of the time spent in “break out” sessions; learning outside
the classroom where students interact with the local
culture directly. Opportunities for participants include:

• Cooking Mexican cuisine
• Exploring an ethnographic overview of Mexico
• An introduction to Mexican archaeology
• Participation in a traditional Christmas in Mexico
• Learning about Huichol culture and art
• Discovering Mayan folklore, folk dancing and the use of
traditional herbs
• Going on nature walks to observe jungle birds and other
wildlife and exploring the hidden sites of Nayarit

Other classes currently scheduled or already underway
are; English as a second language, art, African dance, children’s
dance, photography, yoga, martial arts, computer
training, nutrition, theater, horticulture, sculpture, and
mixed media art.
