Learn the Spanish language and discover Mexican culture in the beautiful village of Sayulita, Nayarit.Sayulita is a quiet fishing and surf village located one hour north of Puerto Vallarta Mexico.

Are you on vacation and really don’t want to go home with a big souvenir sombrero, a hangover, and feeling like you did not see the real Mexico? Have you lived in Mexico for years and still cannot get past the present tense? Now is your chance to make a change,learn a new language and understand a new culture . Learn something truly valuable about yourself and others. You will leave with new language skills,you will understand a different way of life and you will be relaxed and happy for your experience in Sayulita

All classes consist of grammar lessons with much of the time spent in “break out” sessions; learning outside the classroom where students interact with the culture directly. Learners will investigate Mexican cooking, explore an Ethnographic overview of Mexico, and receive an introduction to Mexican archaeology. Some of the break out sessions and/or field trips planned are; Christmas in Mexico, Huichol culture and art, flan, mole poblano, false cognates, baile folklorico, nature walks, use of traditional herbs,, legends and myths, Mayan folklore, Thursday Market in La Penita.real estate in Mexico,the Altavista petroglyph site, jungle birds and animals and hidden sites of the state of Nayarit... Please contact the Language Center Director to find out what is planned for the session you want to attend. Classes are available at 3 different levels and soon available for children.


BEGINNING LEVEL
:

  • For students with little or no previous knowledge of Spanish.
  • Covering greetings, personal info questions, cultural concepts, numbers, dates, time, money.
  • Present tense verbs including; ser, estar, tener, ir, gustar, ver, llamar, querer.
  • Agreement of nouns and adjectives.
  • Useful vocabulary and prepositions.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL :

  • For students with a working knowledge of Spanish.
  • Review of present tense regular and irregular verbs.
  • Tu vs. Usted.
  • Reflexive verbs and pronouns.
  • Vocabulary relating to daily life and business.
  • Weather and cognates.
  • Use of past and future tense verbs
  • Writing and composition skills.

ADVANCED LEVEL :

  • For students with a minimum of 2 years Spanish and knowledge of most verb tenses.
  • Review preterit, imperfect, future tenses.
  • Complete sentences using idiomatic expressions and slang.
  • Grammatical structure and ability to discuss, explain, debate and conduct in Spanish.




We offer Mexican bilingual teachers, air conditioned classrooms, multimedia tools, library with extra materials in Spanish. We also offer babysitting for enrolled parents for a small additional fee. We can assist you with finding accommodations as well.
